Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
This policy explains what information BioCog Monitor collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We built BioCog Monitor to keep your health data private by design.
BioCog Monitor is a personal tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your health, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read or generated in the app. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
1. Who we are
BioCog Monitor is a personal health-tracking application operated by Hunteinvest (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Guyana. You can reach us at admin@hunteinvest.com or +592 652 0011.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address (and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile basics from Google). We do not collect a card number — payments are handled by our payment processor (see below).
Health information you enter
This is the data you log: blood glucose, blood pressure, heart rate, weight, medications, doses and adherence, symptoms, notes, mood, and personal targets. Where this data is stored depends on your plan— see “Where your data is stored” below.
AI feature inputs
When you use an AI feature, relevant information is sent to our AI provider to generate your result (details in section 5). In particular, adding a medication — on the Free or Pro plan, whether you type its name or scan it — automatically sends the medication name and dose to the cloud to look up general information about that drug.
Payment information
If you subscribe to Pro, our payment processor collects and processes your payment details directly. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status and non-sensitive metadata (e.g. plan, billing period, transaction reference) — never your full card details.
Technical information
Like most web apps, our hosting and infrastructure providers process basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the service.
3. Where your data is stored
- Free plan — on your device. Your health data is stored locally in your browser (on your device) and is not synced to our cloud. It stays with you. The trade-off is that it is tied to that device and browser; use CSV export to move it elsewhere. One exception: when you add a medication, its name and dose (never your readings, notes, or other health data) are sent to our servers and AI provider to look up information about that drug — see sections 5 and 6.
- Pro plan — encrypted cloud. Your health data is stored in our cloud database so it can sync across your devices. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and row-level security isolates your records to your account so other users cannot access them.
4. How we use your information
- To provide the app — storing, displaying, and charting the data you log.
- To generate the AI features you request (med look-ups and, on Pro, the daily summary).
- To operate accounts, subscriptions, and support.
- To secure the service and prevent abuse.
- To improve a shared, de-identified medication reference library (see section 6).
5. AI features and our AI provider
BioCog Monitor uses Anthropic’s Claude API to power its AI features. When you use one, only the information needed for that result is sent:
- Medication look-up: the medication name or photo you submit, plus your current medication list (so any interaction notes are relevant). This look-up runs automatically whenever you add a medication, on every plan including Free. The general drug profile it produces may be saved to our shared medication library without any information that identifies you (see section 6).
- Daily summary (Pro): your recent readings and the statistics computed from them.
This information is sent solely to generate your result. Under our AI provider’s commercial API terms, your inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. AI output is informational only and may be incomplete or inaccurate — always confirm with a healthcare professional.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as follows:
- Service providers (subprocessors) who help us run the app, under contract and only as needed: our cloud database and authentication provider (Supabase), our AI provider (Anthropic), our payment processor (Paddle, acting as merchant of record), and our hosting provider (Vercel).
- De-identified medication library. When an AI medication look-up identifies a drug (including the look-up that runs when you add a medication), the general drug profile is cached in a shared reference library so future look-ups are faster and cheaper. The library record contains no user-identifying data — no account ID, name, email, or any of your health data — only general facts about the drug itself. Any population statistics we derive are aggregated and gated so no individual can be identified.
- Doctor-share links (Pro) that you choose to create — see section 9.
- Legal reasons — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
7. Data retention
- Free (local) data stays on your device until you delete it or clear your browser storage.
- Pro (cloud) data is retained while your subscription is active.
- If Pro lapses or is cancelled, you can keep using the app in local-only mode, and your cloud copy is retained for a 30-day grace period (so you can renew without losing it), after which it is automatically erased.
8. Your rights and choices
- Export: download your readings and medications as CSV at any time from Settings.
- Access & correction: your data is visible and editable in the app.
- Deletion: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account. This cancels any active subscription and removes your cloud data; data stored only on your device is cleared from it. You can also email us at admin@hunteinvest.com to request deletion.
9. Doctor-share links
Pro users can generate a read-only link to a snapshot of their summary to share with a provider. The link is a random, hard-to-guess token; it expires and can be revoked by you at any time. Anyone you send the link to can view that snapshot until it expires or you revoke it, so share it only with people you trust.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and at rest and per-user access controls (row-level security) for cloud data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.
11. Children
BioCog Monitor is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
12. Users in the United States
For U.S. users, health information you provide may be covered by the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule. If a breach of unsecured identifiable health data occurs, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
